Re-Re-Scheduled Date For Newcastle Away

Having initially made way to allow for Newcastle's outstanding Premier Trophy fixture against Edinburgh and been allocated a new date of September 12th, the Silver Ski Rockets' Premier League visit to Brough Park has now been moved again. The new date is Sunday, June 13th.

Bring ‘Em On: Edinburgh

The Silver Ski Rockets divert their attention away from the Premier League and their forthcoming Premier Trophy Semi-Final when they focus on the little matter of the Knock-Out Cup this Saturday (June 5th @ 7pm).

Their opponents will be the team that ousted them from last season's competition, and who hold an intriguing 51-39 advantage heading into this second leg, the Edinburgh Monarchs.

The Armadale side is led once again in 2010 by American ace Ryan Fisher, with key backing likely to come from 2008 German senior champion and 2009 U-21 titlist Kevin Wolbert, 7th year Monarch Matthew "Stormy" Wethers and Andrew Tully. Also in their mix are Hungarian newcomer Jozsef Tabaka, who was a reserve in last year's World U-21 Final, 19 year old Flying Finn - and he really is flying at the moment - Kalle Katajisto and back-to-back World U-21 Semi-Finalist Max Dilger.

Whilst eliminated early from the Trophy, the Monarchs have made a tremendous start to their League programme, with away wins at Redcar, Scunthorpe and title favourites Birmingham, plus a 61-31 stonking of Newcastle to show so far. Only a home defeat against King's Lynn has tarnished that record.

It is Cup action, however, that will have both teams' attention on Saturday. The reward for aggregate success will be a second round clash against Cup holders King's Lynn, who won both legs of their own first round tie against Glasgow to cruise through 103-75 on aggregate.
